Why laugh at all?
It's much easier to be grumpy...
Well, it makes you sick if you stay grumpy. I've noticed that people who see only the negative sides of Nature, Reality and Everything Else, always have bad things happening to them.
I found this out long before those people of the so-called 'Secret', published their ideas about the 'Law of Attraction'. The problem with their theory is that the left out the 'Law of Repulsion'. Which becomes manifest about 0.4 seconds after the 'Law of the Bill'.
Careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
Seriously... before they start sending me lots of positive thinking. There's nothing wrong with the 'Secret'. Nor the people behind it.
It's just that I think they have left out some stuff.
Here are (rather quickly, I'm hungry and it's lunch time) some of the reasons why I think humor is more important than a head ache:
- it is essentially non-dualist. Which is great, because it means you can be on the road to Enlightenment, when you wallow in laughter. Yet (law of repulsion coming in action), humor may be non-dual... so is crying. And sometimes we cry when we laugh.
- laughing at others, laughing at given 'facts' (like dogma's), laughing at taboos and, most important of all: laughing at oneself, is more than just Liberating. It is a pre-creative act. It opens the door-ways to new concepts. One has to be liberated and and free first in order to create something new.
- humor binds us and helps us through darker times.
